Porsche Esports Sprint Challenge Malaysia 2026
1. What platform is the competition conducted on?
The competition is held on Assetto Corsa.
2. Is there an entry fee, and if so, how much?
There is no entry fee for participation in the Porsche Esports Sprint Challenge Malaysia.
3. Can I register at a Qualifying 1 event venue if I didn't register online?
Yes. Participants who did not register online may still register at the Qualifying 1 event venue, subject to available slots.
4. Can a female driver register in more than 1 category?
No, all participants may only participate in one category. Female drivers are encouraged to register under the Female Dreamers category which has been specifically introduced as a more inclusive and supportive environment for young women in racing.
5. Do I need an MAM Esports License to compete?
Only drivers who make it to the Finals will require an MAM Esports License, with the cost to be borne by the participant.
1) All MAM Esports License holders have to be a member of any MAM-affiliated club. If not an existing member, participants may register with any MAM-affiliated club of their choice, or opt to sign up via the organiser's affiliated club (club membership fees apply dependent on participant's choice of the MAM-affiliated club).
2) MAM Esports License application fee is RM 50.
6. Are drivers allowed to participate more than once in Qualifying 1?
Yes, a driver can attempt another time trial slot for Qualifying 1, providing that walk-in slots at the respective Qualifying 1 venue are available. Priority will, however, be given to those who have yet to set their time for Qualifying 1.
However, do note that the driver cannot change the Porsche Centre he/she has chosen to represent where a lap time has already been set by the driver.
7. Which Porsche Centre can I represent?
Participants can select 1 of 4 Porsche Centres to represent during registration.
1) Porsche Centre Ara Damansara
2) Porsche Centre Sungai Besi
3) Porsche Centre Penang
4) Porsche Centre Johor Bahru
Once a driver selects a Porsche Centre, this choice cannot be changed.
8. If I live in Central, can I represent Porsche Centre Penang or Porsche Centre Johor?
Yes. A driver may represent any Porsche Centre of their choice. However, if a driver advances to Qualifying 2, they will have to physically attend that event at the Porsche Centre they have chosen to represent. We recommend drivers to select a Porsche Centre closest to where he/she live.
9. Can I qualify online like I did last year?
No. A driver cannot qualify online. All qualifying rounds will be held at physical locations. Drivers have been asked to select a location for Qualifying 1 and will have to set their fastest time at this location.
10. Will I have to bring a form of identification to Qualifying 1?
All drivers will be required to bring official identification document (e.g. Identity Card / Passport) that was used at point of registration for verification purposes at each Qualifying venue before they are allowed to set a time.
11. Where will Qualifying 2 be held?
Qualifying 2 will be held at Porsche Centres in Ara Damansara, Sungai Besi, Penang and Johor Bahru. If a driver qualifies for Qualifying 2, he/she will have to physically attend that session at the Porsche Centre they chose to represent.
12. How will I know if I made it to Qualifying 2?
The 30 drivers with the fastest times in each category from each Porsche Centre will advance to Qualifying 2. Drivers who have advanced to Qualifying 2 will receive an email notification confirming their placement within the Top 30 of their category from their representing Porsche Centre. A list with the qualified drivers will also be posted on the official Discord channel.
All qualified drivers must confirm their participation to secure their spot in the next round by responding to the email within the stipulated deadline.
13. How will I know if I made it to Qualifying 3?
The 10 drivers with the fastest times in each category from each Porsche Centre will advance to Qualifying 3. Drivers who have advanced to Qualifying 3 will receive an email notification confirming their placement within the Top 10 of their category from their representing Porsche Centre. A list with the qualified drivers will also be posted on the official Discord channel.
All qualified drivers must confirm their participation to secure their spot in the next round by responding to the email within the stipulated deadline.
14. How will I know if I made it to the Finals?
Qualifying 3 will be in a race format. In the spirit of fairness, all drivers will be seeded into different categories based on their Qualifying 2 standings. The results will be based on the final finishing order of each race in each category. In each category, the top two in each race will progress to the Finals along with the 2 fastest 3rd place finishers, based on qualifying times.
Drivers who have advanced to the Finals will receive an email notification confirming their placement in the Finals. A list with the finalists will also be posted on the official Discord channel.
All finalists must confirm their participation to secure their spot in the next round by responding to the email within the stipulated deadline.
15. Which Discord channel should I join?

16. Can I bring my own headset and gloves?
Yes. Drivers may bring their own headsets and gloves.
17. Must I wear shoes?
In the spirit of racing and simulating real world racing conditions, we would recommend that all drivers wear shoes to qualify. The organisers reserve the rights to disqualify any participants that do not meet the racing requirements.
18. Will racing t-shirts be provided?
The official race t-shirt will only be provided for all Finalists. When competing in the Qualifying rounds, drivers are encouraged to wear their own comfortable and generic attire without logos of competing motorsport brands.
19. Who do I contact if I have more questions?
Drivers are encouraged to read all information on the website and contained in the Sporting Regulations before reaching out to the organiser. Questions can be asked on #help-desk on the official Discord channel or email pescm@axle.com.my
20. I've registered for the challenge, but I am unable to register for a Discord account.
There could be two (2) possible reasons why you're unable to register:
#1 – If you are a parent registering with your child's details and he/she is below 13 years old, Discord will restrict the registration. If this is the case, please register with the parents' details so you can monitor the channel for your child.
#2 – Your browser's browsing data may be disrupting the site. Please clear your cache and cookies. Once completed, please refresh Discord and try registering again.

21. I cannot access the registration website.

22. Can I change my registration details after signing up?
No, once registration is submitted, changes cannot be made. Kindly do ensure that all information is correct, especially your personal details and participating location before submitting.
23. Can I use my own racing setup at the physical qualifiers?
No, all participants will use the same pre-configured setup provided by the organisers. Drivers will only be allowed to bring their own headsets and gloves.
24. I booked a slot to qualify at one of the respective locations for Qualifying 1. Can I change my slot timing if I'm unable to make it for my original slot?

25. What happens if I cannot attend my scheduled qualifier round for Qualifying 2?
If you miss your scheduled qualifier, your spot will be forfeited, and you will unfortunately not be able to participate in another qualifying round.
26. My child is under 18; do I need to accompany them to the event?
Yes, participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at physical events.
27. Can my child participate if they are just below or above the age category cut-off?
Participants must be within the specified age categories as of 2026 and will be required to present their identification document for verification upon registration during the physical qualifiers. If any discrepancies in age are found, the organiser reserves the right to void the eligibility of the participant.
28. Will transportation or accommodation be provided for participants traveling from other states?
We appreciate your interest in the Porsche Esports Sprint Challenge Malaysia. As participation in the challenge is voluntary, travel and accommodation costs will be borne solely by the participants.
